Conductor Juha Törmä
Juha Törmä
has been conducting Chamber Choir Camena since 2001.
He is a all-round music professional. He graduated as piano teacher from the Tampere
Academy of Music in 1986. After that he continued music studies in the Sibelius Academy
in Helsinki. Törmä studied conducting an orchestra under the guidance of
Finnish master conductors Osmo Vänskä, Lauri Siimes and Jorma Panula.
He finished the degree in conducting an orchestra in 1992. In Sibelius Academy,
Törmä also studied conducting a choir under the guidance of Finnish choir
conducting masters Matti Hyökki and Heikki Liimola. He finished the degree in
conducting a choir in 1997.
Juha Törmä has performed with several orchestras, and he has made
arrangements for both orchestras and choirs. At the moment Juha Törmä
works as a production manager at a small record label and conducts Chamber Choir Camena.
